Born to eternal life on September 26, 2014, at the age of 104. Sister Rosaria received a BS and a MS from Marquette University, in math, zoology and biology. Sister Rosaria served as an elementary teacher in schools in Wisconsin and Illinois for 25 years. Her next 25 years were spent teaching math, her favorite subject area, at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and Divine Savior Junior College. She is quoted as saying, "I tried to teach math so that everyone could understand it." Many of her former students testify to that achievement. During her many years of semi- retirement and then retirement, she assisted in the finance office at DSHA and helped with many household activities. She crocheted hundred of afghans for babies and scarves for adults, often donating them for auction items.
Sister Rosaria was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Catherine (Ederer) Kaiser, brothers Frank (Maud) Kaiser, Raymond (Dorothy) Kaiser, Robert Kaiser, Herman (Eileen) Kaiser, sisters Verona (Walter) Kobiske and Rose (Albert) Shervey. She is survived by brothers Herman Kaiser, Albert (Stella) Kaiser, Earl (Dorothy) Kaiser, sister- in-law Genevieve (Robert) Kaiser, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and her sisters and brothers in the Salvatorian Family.
Visitation is Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at St. Anne's Salvatorian Campus, 92nd & Lisbon Ave., Milwaukee from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial is at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014, 9:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Sisters of the Divine Savior in memory of Sister Rosaria Kaiser, SDS.
