Here at Krause Funeral Homes, our staff often asks the question, “What else can we do to help families during the most difficult times of their lives?” For us, walking alongside our neighbors in Milwaukee, Brookfield, and New Berlin is a privilege we never take for granted. Since we opened the doors of our first location on Capitol Drive back in 1958, we’ve done everything possible to provide the best funeral experience for those we serve. We want families to know they can trust us implicitly and that we offer the most service options in the area.
From planning a visitation, funeral, and reception to selecting cremation or burial, we explain every option in a way you’ll understand even in the midst of grief. We also offer what we call signature services, that is, ways to add a personal touch to a final farewell. At most funeral homes, these services are considered extras, but we believe so strongly in what we do here that we consider them the basics. That is why we offer these services – and more – to every family we care for.
Family Follow-Up Service
We continue caring for your family long after the service is over. In the weeks that follow, one of our representatives will call to set up a meeting where we’ll provide information regarding probate, estate planning, senior support materials, and other important information.
Memorial Portrait
Select a photo of your loved one and we will use our frames to display it by the register station. Copies of the photo will then be given to you to bring home or distribute to family and friends.
Caring Notes
Caring notes is a collection of nearly 50 pre-written letters to help you notify businesses and organizations of your loved one’s death. We provide a computer disc with these letters or can print them for you and bring them to the family follow-up appointment.
Floral Photos and Delivery
We take digital photos of each floral tribute and the card that accompanies it. We will then mail you the photos to place in the guest book as a permanent record, and/or to help you send your thank you cards after the service. Plus, following the funeral service, we deliver all floral arrangements to your home or to a church, nursing homes, or other facility if you want to offer them as a donation.
Tribute Video
We will create a tribute video using 30-50 photos you provide to show during a visitation or funeral service, or as a private remembrance for your family. You can arrange them in a certain order or we can do that for you. We can also link the video to the web so other family and friends can see it and save copies of photos.
