Kenneth “Kenny” A. Kamnik peacefully entered into Eternal life with his beloved family at his side at the age of 80 on April 13, 2021. Cherished father of Laura (Dan) McIntosh of Tulsa, OK, and Rega (Larry) Plaster of Whitefish Bay, WI. Incredibly proud grandpa of Elizabeth (Kevin) Madsen, Jordan (Rubie) McIntosh, Erin McIntosh, and Katherine Plaster. Ken is also survived by ex-wife, loving friend, and devoted caregiver, Patricia Blatz, his brother Jerry, and nieces and nephews. Kenny is preceded in death by his son, Edward Allen, his parents Elmer and Mina Kamnik, and his sister Marlene Finley.
Ken spent many years working as a carpenter. He would proudly point out the homes he built in and around Waukesha County. His later years were spent on the road, delivering vehicles around the country with his partner and friend Mike. He loved driving, but more importantly enjoyed the camaraderie of his co-workers. His daughters held a special place in his heart. Many hours were spent playing cards at the lake with Laura or discussing recipes with Rega. He particularly enjoyed hearing about the exploits and achievements of his grandchildren, always offering encouragement and praise.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He was a skilled horseman and big game hunter. He enjoyed four-wheeling and snowmobiling “up north” with his dear friends Pete and Phyllis. He loved being with family and friends and sharing stories of his latest hunting adventures. Many days were spent with his lifelong friend Duane at the farm. Most of all, Ken was a man of unwavering principle. He was kind and generous. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.
