Morgan remains an inspiration. She had a profound effect on those who were able to know her, in large part because she was so genuine. She loved her support and she’ll always provide an example of determination and perspective, with a little sass mixed in.

I had the pleasure of meeting Morgan and the privilege of interviewing her about her Mitochondrial Disease. Morgan was candid and bold in sharing her experience with battling Mito. But in the process she also demonstrated her razor sharp wit, quirky sense of humor, ebullient personality and zest for life. She now lives peacefully, painlessly and eternally with her fellow angels. Troy, Colleen and Cameron, may the peace and light only He can provide comfort you during this very challenging time. B3

Colleen, Cameron, and Pliskin - We know your hearts ache and share your sorrows. We are all hurt by the parting of Morgan, whom we loved When we feel pain at the loss we have sustained and when we long for words of comfort - yet find them hard to hear - we know we can turn our affliction to the firmer hope of knowing Morgan is at peace - soaring and uninhibited - awaiting our reunion!

Morgan was my sweet neighbor girl. She and I would talk sometimes when I picked her up as she walked from the school bus on a cold winter day. Later, I would see her occasionally walking with a walker outside with a friend. I admired her great determination in the face of adversity. She always had a great smile. God bless you, dear Morgan. You were brave and fought a great fight. Your life and your bravery had a profound affect on us and I am sure others. You were an inspiration to us Anne and Ron Pierce Anne and Ron

My condolences and prayers go out to Morgan and her family at this difficult time. I had the pleasure of coaching Morgan's brother, Cameron, while he was a member of the New Berlin Wrestling Team. The Jakubowski family was always really involved helping out with the team. I'll never forget the images of Morgan supporting her brother and cheering him on for entire Saturdays throughout the winter. She had an unforgettable smile and I'll remember her sense of humor whenever I would be around her. It was always evident that, whether it be at wrestling meets, banquets, or her Mito March fundraisers, just how close her family was and how much they are loved and appreciated by their community. It's strong evidence of the amazing impact Morgan has had on the lives of those around her. Morgan and her family remain in my continued thoughts and prayers. God bless. Pat Detmer
