Passed away peacefully Sunday, December 14, 2008, age 61. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Riesen) for nearly 40 years. Devoted dad of Scott (Denise), Brian and Jennifer (Michael) Gasparek. Loving and caring grandpa of Matthew, Christian, Jacquelyn, Randall, Tiberius and Myles. Dear son of Elaine (Oliver) Kolbow and the late Elroy Koester. Loving brother of Judy (Palmer) Draeger. Also loved by other relatives and many friends. Private services were held. Memorials appreicated to the American Cancer Society. Alan's family was proud of his accomplishments and the life he led. He will be greatly missed by those whose life he touched.
