We were neighbors of Al and Jo-Allyn for over 17 yrs. My kids grew up knowing "Mr. Al" cared for them and helped them learn kindness and friendship. He did not miss a $2 bill at Christmas. When we moved away in 2019 we took with us the memory of a beautiful soul. He is missed.

We are sorry to hear of Al's passing. We met Al and Jo-Allyn at the ballroom dancing studio and remained friends from then on. They were fantastic dancers and dance teachers, and good mentors to us. They were fun to be with, especially since Al loved to joke around.
Joan E Corrao left a message on September 24, 2021:
Uncle Al, we shared a lot together: Maxfield's, Chuck's, Prime Minister, George Webb's, some fast food places, and a lot of phone calls. You spent many holidays, birthdays, and other occasions with us in better times. The silence will be quite deafening for a while. You will be missed but we know you are happy to be reunited with Aunt JoAllyn. Rest in peace. We love you. Toodaloo, toodaloo.

I was Al's mailman while he had his shop on Silver Spring. Always enjoyed stopping and shooting the bull with Al while listening to the oldies on WOKY, especially at Christmas time. Reminded me of Floyd's barber shop on the Andy Griffith show. Great guy!
