Judy Maas for Harriet (Driessel/Carey/Van Dreel} Andersen left a message on September 3, 2019:
To Alice's family and friends: My mother Harriet was a fellow Marquette Nursing College Alumni of Alice's. They were dear friends for many years. They were part of a close-knit group of friends who met while attending nursing school, and they would get together occasionally as their busy lives would allow, as marriages and children and life itself went on. As their families grew and started families of their own, these women would meet for lunch on a yearly basis, including their spouses, for wonderful visits. Over the years, some lost their husbands, and the lunch get-togethers got smaller, but no less enjoyable. Then the friends themselves started passing away, and the lunches got more difficult to arrange. My mother Harriet and I met Alice in Milwaukee for lunch about three or four years ago and as always, Alice was her sunny, loving self, and we had such a nice visit. That was the last time we got together, and mail sent to her home was returned by the post office. And now the sad news that she has passed away. Alice was such a loving person, and I always felt that she was a part of my extended family, while I was growing up. My mother turned 99 years of age on August 20th, and she is sad to be the last of this wonderful group of friends. We extend our sincere sympathies to Alice's family. We have missed her for the past several years already, but had held out hope that we might "find" her again. I know that she will be at St. Peter's side as part of the greeting committee when we get to Heaven.

I grew up across the street from Mrs. Breaker. She was such a kind person. I enjoyed our visits together, remembering all the neighbors and how special they all were and it made for a great neighborhood to grow up in. I will remember her always!

Our sympathy and prayers on the passing of your mother. Alice was a special lady and Sandy and I always enjoyed her twice a year visits to my dental practice. She often brought plants to my office as she knew I enjoyed them. She was always happy and brought smiles to our faces, a truly wonderful person.

Sally, John and Family. I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Breaker was a speial lady and I always enjoyed meeting her when she came to visit in Menasha. We sat through several football games at Calder Stadium when she came to visit her son and my husband coach football. I remember her as a strong person and very proud of her family. With deepest sympathy and prayers.
