Born on September 21, 1937 to the union of Willie and Alice Allen in McComb, MS. Annie received her formal education in the Pike County School System. Born on September 21, 1937 to the union of Willie and Alice Allen in McComb, MS. Annie received her formal education in the Pike County School System. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was united with Upper Room Bible Church. Annie was a well-known seamstress where she started sewing at the age of eight. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her family.Annie was united in holy matrimony with OC Thornton in 1955 in MS. They were blessed with 11 loving children and leaves behind: Willie James (Madeline) Thornton, Linda (Jeremiah) Lowe, Allen (Patricia) Thornton, Curley (Kimba) Thornton, Otis Thornton, Cora (Sam) Vanerson, Shirley Thornton and daughter-in-law Shirley Thornton. And later married Marvin Beckum in 1974 in Milwaukee, WI with the blessing of one child, Angela Beckum. Annie B. Beckum departed this life on November 11, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Alice Allen, Alberta Allen (stepmother); four children: Nellie Jean, Otis Charles, Larry and Gregory; siblings: JD Allen, Walter Allen and Martha Ard.She leaves to cherish her memory 11 sisters: Willie Mae Brummel, Clarice Sandifer, Anna Gatlin, Leila Simmons, Mattie Hughes, Mazie Brumfield, Mary Jones, Vada (Ernest) McGowan, Alberta Turner, Alice Mims and Blondie (Samuel) Reese; 2 brothers: Albert (Faye) Allen, Willie Jr (Mildred) Allen; godsister Carolyn Boyd; 42 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
