Anthony D. Edwards was born into Eternal Life on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at age 50. He is survived by his mother, Sandra Hickman, daughter Ashley Boler, and son Antonio Williams. Proud PaPa of Shamya Carter and Ay’mri Carter. Beloved brother of Trecia Hickman-Triplett, Twanna Gilliard, and Demetrice McMillian; further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Louisville, MS, and Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby L. Wraggs.
Anthony was born on June 21, 1970, in Louisville, MS. He attended Louisville HS, home of the Wild Cats, where he played football as a linebacker. He was a big sports fan and cheered for the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed playing spades, cooking soul food, and listening to his favorite artists Prince and R. Kelly. Anthony proudly served his country through seven years of service in the United States Navy (USS T.C. Hart FF-1092). Anthony moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1997 where he worked for Aldrich and Roundy’s. He was a true Wisconsinite; he loved the snow and the freezing temperatures. There will never be another Anthony D. Edwards! He will be missed by all more than words can express!
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Milwaukee VA Medical Center staff for their persistent effort and compassionate care for Anthony’s illness. We also appreciate all the prayers and cards from family and friends at this difficult time.
A time of visitation will be held for Anthony on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Anthony will be laid to rest at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 12:30 PM.
