Anthony “Tony” Krafcheck

Died peacefully January 15, 2017 at Azura Memory Care in Stoughton, WI at the age of 95 years.

Tony is survived by his children Karen (Mike) Okonek, Hartford, WI; Judy Whalen (Greg Hofmeister), Brooklyn, WI; Jim (Patty) Krafcheck, Fort Wayne, IN; and Steve (Lori) Krafcheck, Oconomowoc, WI, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille “Mickey” (nee Goessner).

Tony was born June 9, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI to parents Anthony and Louise Krafcheck. Tony and his wife Mickey lived in Milwaukee and then West Allis where they raised their four children. Tony retired from Kearney and Trecker after working there for 30 years. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the H.A. Todd Jr. American Legion Post #537. He was appointed to the West Allis Police and Fire Commission by the mayor of West Allis. In his later years, Tony lived at The Heights Assisted Living in Evansville and then Azura Memory Care in Stoughton.

His children and grandchildren remember Tony as a wise and kind family man who worked hard, loved dogs, and who valued education for himself and his children and grandchildren.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM.
