Passed peacefully and was reunited with his beloved wife Barbara (nee Elmer) on January 7, 2019 at age 92. Loving father of Sylvia Pfalz and Richard (Heather) Pfalz. Adoring Opa of Analiese and Brigitta Pfalz. Dear brother of Hans (Inge), Elisabeth (the late Benedict) Gusta and Josef (the late Rose). Also loved and will be missed by additional family and friends.
Tony was born and raised in Yugoslavia on the Danube river. After World War II, he lived in the Salzburg, Austria immigration displaced persons camp, where he met Barbara. They were married and lived there for 10 years, where their daughter Kathy was born. They then immigrated to the United States 1956 where they settled in Milwaukee. Tony worked for Briggs and Stratton for 30 years and retired in 1986, yet maintained contact with a close group of friends and colleagues. He founded the Apatiner Club of Milwaukee sometime after they settled and was heavily involved in the development and purchase of the Schwabenhof. Tony and Barbara enjoyed many years with their “Rock River Gang” of friends fishing, cooking fish goulash and reminiscing about the old country. He had a love of photography and took numerous pictures of the many trips he and Barbara went on throughout their lives, with the Hawaiian Islands being their favorite.
