Age 97. Passed peacefully on April 29, 2018 in his Bayside home of 53 years. Beloved husband for 67 years of the late Eleanor (nee Nabke). Loving father of Jean (John) Gorski, the late James and William. Dear grandfather of Jen (Doug), Jason, Robert, Cassie, Cara, Michael and Carly. Proud great-grandfather of Avery, Collin and Michael. Preceded in death by his parents Hjalmar and Augusta and his infant sister Irene.
Arthur loved the family farm in Greenwood, Wisconsin. He was a gifted athlete who played strong side tackle for the University of Wisconsin and was signed by the Cleveland Browns. He was an entrepreneur and owned many businesses. He had his private pilot’s license. Arthur was the President of Gospel Lutheran Church and fundraised for special education. He proudly served his country in WWII on Iwo Jima.
Visitation at Fox Point Lutheran Church Friday, May 11, 2018 from 10:30 AM -11:30 AM. Service at 11:30 AM. Burial at 1:00 PM at Pinelawn Cemetery.
