Bernhardt “Bernie” D. Steek, age 98, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2021. Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Clara (nee Schultz) Steek; his children; Darlene (Dennis) Hibbard and Kevin (Martha) Steek; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Lynette Oliver, and other relatives and friends.

 

 

Visitation for Bernie will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Funeral service will follow. Bernie will be laid to rest at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Both Bernie and Clare are so dear to me. Growing up at Bethel, I've known them and their family all my life. But these last years I've had the joy of seeing them and chatting with them at my work, as they were patients at our Ophthalmology group. They are a lovely couple. Bernie will be missed! Prayers for Clare and the entire family.
