Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Teacher, Gardener, Cultivator of Young Minds, Hearts, God’s Seed-bearing Plants, Flowers, and Beauty passed into Eternal Life on May 7, 2022 at age 92.
Beloved Wife of James Pantazon for 46 years. They were married in 1952 until his passing in 1999. Loving mother of Dianne Jenson (Mark Griffin) and Penelope (Ken) Plache. Proud grandmother of Sophia and Amara Plache. She was also loved and will be missed by additional family and friends.
Betty’s teaching career as an Elementary and Preschool educator spanned 57 years from 1951-2008 for Milwaukee Public Schools and Sherman Park Pre-school. One of Betty’s greatest talents was her green thumb. She was an avid gardener of houseplants, and took great joy in planting her annual flower pots and perennial garden.
As a steward of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Betty participated in charitable activities as a member of Annunciation Philoptochos, Bible Study Group and Baking Angels.
Betty was active in health and fitness doing aerobics and strength training until her 85th year, most recently at Body Tuning Aerobics Studio in Wauwatosa. Betty was pragmatic and she always kept everyone on track. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Trisagion at 6:30 PM. Additional visitation on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 9400 West Congress Street, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at 10:00 AM. Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 AM. Burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Livestreaming of services available on the funeral home website.
