Robert Steinbach, 85, passed away in Milwaukee June 10th, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of the late Nancy K. Steinbach (nee Straub) for 62 years.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, Robert was the son of the late William and Enid Steinbach and was the brother of Ellyn (Dennis) Sorenson, Carrie Cameron, and the late William (Joyce) Steinbach. A dedicated and loving father, he will be dearly missed by many.  His children, Debra (Daniel) Theine, Darrell Steinbach, and David (Dianna) Steinbach. His Grandchildren, Mark (Christina) Theine, Michael (Elizabeth) Theine, Kyle (Laura) Theine, Paul (Melissa) Theine, Neal (Meredith) Steinbach, Laura (Michael) Riley, and Alexander Steinbach. He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren. 1-4-3 Grandpa!

Robert was a band teacher at South Milwaukee Middle School for 33 years. His love of music and quest for excellence has impacted the lives of his students for generations.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 10:30 AM-11:30 AM. Funeral Service at 11:30 AM.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Herma Heart Institute (c/o Children’s Hospital Foundation  MS 3050  P.O. Box 1997  Milwaukee, WI 53201) to help the organization continue its Marfan Syndrome research.
