Ackeret, Bruce J. “Buzz”

Born into eternal life on July 5, 2022, age 79. Beloved husband of Mary E. (nee Pawlinski) for nearly 60 years. Loving father of Brian (Catherine), Kevin (Rosalind), Steven (Shari), Laura (Gary) Anderson and Annemarie (Polo) Navarro. Proud grandfather of Megan, Adam, Alexandra, William, Zachery, Amanda, Mark, Stephen, Daniel, Joseph, Haley, John, Zachary, Kyle, Dana and Mary. Great grandfather of Emmalee, Owen, Tara Rose, Weston, Brooklyn and Niomi. Brother of Doreen Rohr, Stuart (Judy), Neil (Adrienne) and John (Marlene). Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Isabelle, and brother, Curtis. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Graduate of Rufus King High School. 30 year veteran of the City of Milwaukee Fire Department. Long time member and volunteer at St. Agnes Catholic Church and School in Butler. Avid Wisconsin sports fan and game show network enthusiast. Buzz was a model of hard work, a great sense of humor and a strong faith. Throughout his life, he had not only his main career as a firefighter, but worked 1 or 2 more jobs. He made sure we had great family vacations and experiences. We have been blessed to spend great family time together, including card games, yard games and board games. Spent winters with friends in Bradenton, Florida at Golf Lakes Estates. He enjoyed lawn bowling and golf. Summers were spent at Lake Shishebogama in Minacqua.

Gathering at St. Anthony on the Lake, W280N2101 Prospect Avenue, Pewaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Memorial Mass at 12:00 PM.
