In Memory of Carol Ruth Petsch (nee Stark)
Carol passed to eternal life on October 12, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born to Theresa Malson and John Stark on November 18, 1929. She graduated from Washington High School and had two sisters. She married Nelson Petsch on June 6, 1953 and had three children (Diane, Jim, and Dave).
Her favorite activities were trying new recipes, traditional rug hooking and being part of the LWML at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Allis. Both Carol and Nelson loved classic country and bluegrass music. They traveled to Nashville and Branson quite a bit. She traveled to Hawaii in April 1995 and Alaska in July 2009. She moved to the Village at Manor Park in February 2010 and enjoyed socializing with the other residents at the many organized activities.
We wish to thank the staff at the Village of Manor Park and Vitas Hospice for taking care of her as her memory declined.
Carol is survived by her children – Diane Petsch and David (Christine) Petsch. Her dearest son James preceded her in death in 1998. Carol was the proud grandma to five grandchildren (Tony (Amy) Petsch, Carlyn Petsch, Marie (Rey) Hiracheta, Jonah Petsch and Tilly Petsch) and five great-grandchildren (Tyler, Owen, Kyra, Liam and Logan).
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Sunday, October 22, from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM. Service to follow at 3:00 PM. A Private Burial will be held at Highland Memorial Park.
