Born in 1938 in San Diego, California, to Edward and Eleanor Peterson, Carol’s family later moved to Pocahontas, Iowa. She attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa, then graduated from Marquette University with a degree in education, teaching for several years in the Milwaukee Public School System.
Carol loved Marquette basketball, the Milwaukee Public Zoo, dogs, art projects, gardening, and watching Masterpiece Theater and the Turner Classic Movie Network.
But above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by sons Michael (Sarah) Weiss and David (Beth) Weiss, and daughter Stephanie (Rod) Weiss Strickland, as well as grandchildren Gabriella, Henry, Isabel, Greta and Charlie Weiss, and Leah and Will Strickland. She is also survived by her dear brother, Dr. Neil (Beverly) Peterson.
