Born to this earth on March 6, 1933 to Charles (Nick) and Martha (nee Dobner) Ziegler and to Eternal Life on Friday, April 1, 2022. Age 89. Beloved husband to Virginia Mae (nee Hipsch) for whom he loved something fierce for nearly 63 years. Dearly loved brother of Mary Virginia (Forrest) Roemer and Charlotte Ziegler (preceded in death).
Dearest father of Michael, favorite daughter Linda, Daniel (Penny) and Timothy (Lanette). Loving grandfather of Amanda (Dan) Sonnenburg, Jacob Bram, Amber, Justin (Megan), Zack and Tyler (Samantha) Ziegler. Great grandfather of Kaelyn, Eli, Adelaide, Gemma, Aiden, Logan, Brekken, Bailey and Zoey. Also survived by relatives, friends and extended church family.

Chuck graduated from Marquette University College of Journalism in 1955 and served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, 16 months in Korea. Chuck joined Wisconsin Electric in 1957 and was in the Communications Department for 37 years retiring as Senior Public Information Representative.
Dad had an unflinching faith, a fierce love of family, a fiery passion for baseball (playing the hot corner and spectating – go Brewers) and a rabid MU rah rah’er for his beloved Warriors (bah, Golden Eagles) – seashells and balloons. Chuck loved his church family and volunteering at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton as an usher, newsletter editor and co-chair of the church picnic. And a good Milwaukee brew or two. “Zeke” was a tremendous artist of nature and barn scenes he came across in his beautiful State of Wisconsin, especially finding inspiration near the family cottage in Green Lake. He loved reading, old jazz, repeating classic dad jokes and traveling with his adventurous wife, Ginner.
Touch your tongue to your nose, Uncle Fuzzy, may your sense of humor, smile, laugh, strength, gentle kindness, servant leadership, grace and heart of gold forever be remembered and celebrated.
“Well done, My good and faithful servant.”
