“Angel Charlie”
Died peacefully in his sleep on March 23, 2021, at age 86. Beloved husband and soul mate for 57 years to Pat (nee Rozga). Endearing brother-in-law of Ed ( Sandy) Rozga and uncle of Brandon (Maggie) Rozga, Catherine (Robert) Kwapick, Craig (Kelly) Butrym, William (Nora) Butrym, and Gary Butrym. He was also loved and will be missed by additional family and many friends.
Charlie was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He worked and retired as a truck driver. He was an usher and a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church. In his retirement he volunteered his time, his truck, and trailer to pick up and deliver baked goods to local food pantries for Food for the Hungry, Inc. He also provided moving, relocating, and disposal services for countless recipients, primarily the School Sisters of St. Francis and the residents of Clement Manor. His nickname, “Angel Charlie”, defined his kindness and charitable nature. He had a boundless energy that made him a “go-to” whenever someone was in need. His motto was “get-it did, get-it done”, and that is what he did. Anyone that knew Charlie, can visualize him in heaven handing out loaves of cinnamon raisin bread and helping anywhere assistance is needed..
The family would like to thank the staff of both Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and of Clement Manor for their commitment and compassionate care.
Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 4:30 PM – 6:15 PM. Memorial Service at 6:30 PM.
