Leech, Cheryl Lynn (Nee Conner)

Our dear Cheryl was beloved and cherished by many. She made her transition from this life on February 27, 2023, at the age of 66. Loving mother of Sean, Shelley, and Ryan (Kennea). Precious grandmother to Jazahri and Jakori, and favored “nana” to Donja and Dominique. Big sister to S. Stuart Robinson of St. Paul, MN, and Todd (Angel) Robinson of Baltimore, MD. Cheryl was dearly loved by her aunts, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents, both of her parents, Connye Bailey and David Sanders, Sr., her son, Charles, her brother, Daryl, and one aunt and three uncles who were essential figures in Cheryl’s life.

Cheryl was born in Milwaukee in 1956. She was one of the first African-American students to attend Maryland Avenue School. Cheryl attended Brown Deer High School, Bayview High School, and Lady Pitts Center School. She later attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for a short period with an interest in studying psychology. Cheryl was a loving mother to her own children and a doting grandmother. She enjoyed caring for other children who she fondly embraced as part of her own family.

Cheryl, we will miss your smile, your laughter, your wit, and your insight until we see you again.

Family and friends fellowship hour will be held on Saturday, March 11, at 12:00 PM, followed by a celebratory memorial service at 1:00 PM. The fellowship hour and service will take place at Christian Faith Fellowship Church, 8605 Good Hope Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
