Clarice Shambley, known to many as “Tuttee”, was born on February 20, 1936, to the union of George and Willie Mae Chaney in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Clarice received her High School diploma at Shivers High School in Aberdeen, Mississippi, and pursued additional education at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, Wi. Clarice accepted Christ as her savior during her childhood at St. Paul Methodist Church in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Clarice married Arthur Shambley Jr. and their union was blessed with several children. In her leisure time she enjoyed listening to R&B, jazz, gospel, reading the bible, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Clarice departed this life on May 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae and George Chaney; husband, Arthur Shambley Jr.: five brothers, George, Gilbert, Lon, Carl, and Enoble; two daughters, Zesa Shambley and Dewona Jones; two sons, Bernard Shambley and Victor Shambley and one grandson, Shomaray Jackson.
She leaves to cherish in her memory; one brother, Gary P. Chaney; four daughters, Sonya Shambley, Renette Gilbert, Evonnie Jones, and Brenda Gabriel; two sons, Trevin Shambley and Gary C. Chaney; fifteen grandchildren, Chondra, Kendra, Aaron, Edmund Jr., Emita, Akira, William, Tiehesha, Dominique, Chrystal, Tierra, Trevon, Trenton, Kala and LaToya; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Interment Glen Oaks Cemetery.
