Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, age 90. Cherished dad of Kathy (Ted) Zunke, Dana (Clem) Wolff, Maureen (Mark) Niebler, Danny Smith and David (Kayleen) Smith. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, age 90. Cherished dad of Kathy (Ted) Zunke, Dana (Clem) Wolff, Maureen (Mark) Niebler, Danny Smith and David (Kayleen) Smith. Loving grandpa of Eric (Becky) Zunke, Andrea Zagar, Ricky (Michelle) Zunke, Lissa (Jeff) Fischer, Shelly (Troy) Schaefer, Faye Wolff, Leah (Phil) Fritsch, Scott (Kimberly) Niebler, Ben (Morganne) Smith and Jake Smith. Great grandpa of Kerstin, Rachael, Kelsey, Andrew, Josh, Brooks, Samantha, Lukas, Theo, Brandyn, Lexi, Philip, Levi, Finley and Brielle. Brother-in-law of Sandy Smith. Further survived by his faithful companion Phyllis Granowski, other family members and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Smith (nee Havey), his parents, Francis and Clara Smith, daughter-in-law Erica Smith, siblings Jeanette, Sylvester, Jimmy, Priscilla and Estella Smith.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Saturday, October 30, 2021, 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM. Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care of our father.
Daniel was a proud retiree of Frito-Lay for 30 years.

My mother Sandy and I are very sorry for your families loss. you all have our sincere condolences. Dan always was my one and only favorite Uncle. I loved it when my father (Dan's brother) Sylvester would get to gather at Iron Ridge firemen's picnic and spend the time together. we always had so much fun together. he is now
re-associated with his mom and dad, brothers and sisters along with his friend Herman Stange.
