To Chris and the Malmorowski Family, It is out of deep respect for Shadow that we offer our sincerest condolences for your loss at his passing. Shadow was a positive energy in this world and was always working in the service of others, even when his days of formal service were behind him. We have been truly blessed to have him as a neighbor and friend for so many years. He was always ready with a big smile to lend a hand … and share a story (or two!) about his well-lived life with his cherished family and friends. We miss his kindness, quick wit and sense of humor. He was a true salt-of-the -Earth gentleman. Rest In Peace, Shadow. Godspeed our friend! Sincerely, Cheryl and Doug Malaha

Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas left a message on May 15, 2022:
I send my sincere condolences to Chris and the Malmarowski family in the passing of my dear friend Darrell. Darrell came to know each other while working in the Milwaukee Police Communications Division. We immediately enjoyed each others company. We later became partners in the CD, dispatching the busiest districts, Dist. 3,5, and 7. I could always count on him to have my back and he could count on me to have his. We later socialized with one another off the job and enjoyed each other's company. Darrell and I both enjoyed cooking and would share recipes. There wasn't anything he couldn't prepare from venison. We occasionally connected upon retirement at the retirees' breakfast. But It was his involvement with the American Legion Post 415 and me becoming sheriff that cemented our friendship. We shared a lot of laughs together at the Police Memorial and Stars and Stripes Honor Flights but took serious our solemn duties. I will miss my friend. May The Father be a comforter to Chris and his family and may he rest in peace.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Bob & Linda Perich left a message on April 22, 2022:
Darrell was a special friend to us both and our twin sons since about 1980. He was our best man when we married, and was with us many times to help us when our son, Mike, was dying of brain cancer. Darrell and Bob and other guys went on many motorcycle trips with our sons and his son David. Darrell even helped us move to AZ back in 2002. First met Darrell at Pauper Johns on Howell Ave. He walked in with Bob where I was tending bar………we all became friends. A great loss and a true friend. Thank you Darrell for enriching our lives. Hello to Dawn, David and Dana. Your daddy was one of the best. Chris….you two were meant to be. ❤️❤️❤️
