To the Ermatinger children. My dad, Arent Jacobson, was a close friend of your dad's. My memory of Bill was at my wedding in 1975. He was having a great time dancing and fell. Unbeknownst to him he broke his leg. Went to the hospital the next day and found he had continued to dance on a broken leg. I am glad to see he had a long life after that (my dad died in 2009). We lived a block away from your parents on Glenwood and I remember visiting them while your dad recoved.

To Bill's children. My dad, Arent Jacobson, was a very good friend of your dad's. Your parents came to my wedding and your dad fell while dancing and broke his leg. My husband and I lived a block away on Glenwood near Devon and I remember visiting him while recovering. May he rest in peace.

To the Ermatinger family, Our deepest sympathy over the loss of your beloved Father and grandfather. He was so inspiring in his commitment to Jean and his family. As a nurse I cared for Jean when her dementia progressed and saw first hand his loving care! Eve to the point of his sleeping on the floor by the front door to make sure Jean did not wander out at night. I will remember his smile, fortitude and generous spirit to all who knew him!
