Dolores E. Haley (nee Amrhein) of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Dolores passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023 at age 94 after battling dementia for a number of years. Beloved wife of the late John “Patrick” Haley. Cherished mother of Daniel (Sherry), Michael, Eileen (Dennis) Kester and Susan (Timothy) O’Connor. Loving grandma to Zachary (Ana) Kester and Brian Haley. Proud great-grandma to Koda Kester. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Dolores was the youngest of eleven children, and was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Mary (nee Haubner) and siblings Valentine Jr., Silvina “Sally”, Fr. Bernard, Charles, Rose “Sr. Valencia”, Florence, Joseph, Francis, Daniel and Marie. Dolores was primarily a stay-at-home mom but did work in the office at JC Penney when children were no longer toddlers. Dolores was a devout Catholic and instilled those values in her children. She enjoyed the great outdoors (as long as at the end of the day she could close a door behind her and sleep on a mattress). She looked forward to viewing colors in the fall, and when combined with a trip to a nearby casino, it was the best of both worlds for her.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff of Wilkinson Woods, Oak Hill Terrace and Vitas Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Dolores in her declining years and in particular in her final days.

Memorial Gathering at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 995 South Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
