O’Reilly, Delores Marie (Nee Gross) went home to be with the angels on December 10th.
Beloved wife of 69 years to David and loving mother of Michele (predeceased), Patrice O. Rick-Yeager (Robert), Monique Peplinski-Hagen (Eugene), Lisa Mehl (Kevin), and Brian O’Reilly. Devoted grandmother of Angela (Scott), Chad Allen, Michele, Brittani (David), Danielle, Nathan (Hailey), Matthew, Connor, Collin, Brian Jr. and Shannon. Further survived by seven great grandchildren Noah, Grace, Jackson, Rebel, Whitney, Riot, and Rogue, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Loving sister to Richard Gross (Ethel) and the late Judith Engnath (Joseph). Loving sister-in-law to Julia O’Reilly and the late Kathryn Johnson (Terry). Preceded in death by parents John and Mary Gross and daughter-in-law to the late Francis and Irene O’Reilly.
Delores will be lovingly remembered as the “spaghetti grandmother” and as a devoted, faithful Christian of St. Aloysius Parish. Blessed with a sassy and spirited personality, Delores will be reminisced by many as the “life of the party … dancing the night away” as she did gracefully with “her David”. Delores loved sunbathing, crocheting, parking cars during the State Fair and volunteering at the Pabst Mansion. With a vibrant and charming smile, Delores always welcomed her guests with beer or bourbon [two of her favorites]! She dedicated herself to being at stay-at-home mother and over the past 40 years enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting, dance, band and chorus performances. Her beautiful and rewarding life will be forever cherished in the hearts of her husband, children and grandchildren.
The O’Reilly family expresses their sincere gratitude for the dedication, care and compassion Delores received by the staff and management at Care-Age of Brookfield.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin Friday, December 17, 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM. Service at 11:30 AM with a luncheon to follow. Private Christian Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Delores’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association alz.org
