Devoted father of David (Karen), Dennis (Kim) and Diane. Proud grandfather of Kara (Eric), Michael, Matthew, Allison, Jessica and Christopher. Great-grandfather of Parker. Brother of Harold (Beverly) Spitzer. Brother-in-law of Leonard Ruta and Bruno (Joann) Scarite. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Audrey Ruta. Donald retired after 31 years of service from the West Milwaukee Police Department. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, belonged to the New Berlin VFW Post #5716., and was a member of Holy Apostles Holy Name Society. Memorial Gathering at the Funeral Home Wednesday, March 18, 2009, 4:00-8:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 19, 2009, at HOLY APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 160000 West National Avenue, 10:00 AM. Inurnment St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Apostles or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society appreciated.
