Donald G. Moratz

Entered God’s loving arms on July 18, 2020 at age 91. He was reunited with his late wife Rosetta (nee Lilly). Loving father of Trudy (Robert) Van Der Puy, Reba (Richard) Blawusch, Dennis (Nancy) Humphrey, the late Gary (Kay) Moratz, the late Darrell (Lisa) Humphrey, and the late Donny Moratz. Proud grandfather of Kristie (Larry) Silha, Tammy (Jeff) Lemmer, Jason (Pam) Humphrey, Richie (Nicole) Blawusch, Michael (Jenee) Moratz, Greg Moratz, Mimi (Michael) Sealey, and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Daniel (the late Betty) Moratz, the late Lorraine Wrezic, the late Kenneth (the late Rainee) Moratz, and the late Clyde (the late Bev) Moratz. Further survived by additional family and friends.

Donald was a selfless man and spent his life in service of others. He proudly served his country in the Marines during the Korean War, then worked for the Milwaukee Fire Department. He also served on the UW Milwaukee Police Force, became a US Marshall, and then a body guard for several Wisconsin Governors during his time with the Capitol Police Department.

Visitation at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Military Honors and burial to follow.
