It has been well over 40 year's since I saw Don. I worked with him at his Dad's fiberglass company. In fact I had to train him for his office job. I am sorry for all of your losses, he was much too young to go. I was telling my granddaughter a story about when I worked there and a silly April fools joke I played on Don, which got me wondering if the plant was still running and what happened to everyone. Just wanted the family to know he is remembered even by people who haven't seen him in forever for just who he was....a very nice fun guy.

I worked with Don, just the last two years. He was always an inspiration with his knowledge and wanting to make sure he did a great job with our customers and team mates. I was happy to see him even for that short while when he did come back to the office and enjoying the pictures of his family on his desk. I have been keeping him in my prayers since It has been such a while since he was here last. Godspeed Don, and my condolences to your family. - Brenda J.

Dear Sue, Jennie, Nate, Peg, Debbie, Russ and all who loved Scott deeply. Scott (as our family called him) was born just a few months before I went to school in Milwaukee. I got to enjoy him during the baby and toddler stages. Fond memories of Scott and Sue's wedding, Jennie's birth, and visits together. Especially memorable was when Jennie was 12 and our granddaughter 11 and they made breakfast for all of us here in San Diego. What a delightful family. We only saw the family every few years. As a Navy family, we lived far away for the past 62 years. We have Scott's recordings so can hear his voice any time. Sue and Scott were a special couple who were generous and loving and so very proud of their daughter, Jennie. Finn, you will have Grandpa in your life as a memory through pictures and stories. You are blessed. Love, Aunt Norma, Uncle Al

The first time I met Don I remember so clearly. We were at our class reunion, however I cannot remember which one because Sue and I have had so many. He was standing with a group of men as the ladies chatted. He was smiling that big grin and it almost looked like he was holding court. The men were listening intently. As I got closer I realized that Don had been the entertainment for all the guys who had begrudgingly gone along with their wives to this event. He was telling one joke after another with his head tilted back with laughter. That is the way I want to remember Don. Sue, my friend since kindergarten, I am sincerely sad for your profound loss. I am sure you will miss all he brought to your life. Jenni, You are his beautiful and intelligent daughter which brought so much joy to him. I asked him once if he and your Mom were going to have another child. He looked at me and said, "Why? We got it perfect the first time!" Your little Finn will be remembered by him as he looks down on all of you as your personal Angel. Godspeed Don! Rest peacefully now.
