Donovan M. Peavy affectionately known as “Donnie,” was born on March 23, 1999, to the parents of Chaquila Peavy and Darnell Garth in Milwaukee, WI.
After graduating from 8th grade, Donovan and his family moved to Mississippi. While attending Scott Central High School, Donovan was a kicker on special teams. Donovan also played basketball as a point guard for Scott Central.
The summer after Donovan’s sophomore year, Donovan returned home to Milwaukee, WI, where he attended and graduated from West Allis Central High School in West Allis, WI. While attending West Allis Central, Donovan competed in Field Events on the track team. After graduating high school, Donovan attended the University of Wisconsin – Fond du Lac, majoring in Sports Physical Therapy. Donovan was a point guard for the UW-Fond du Lac Falcons. Donovan planned to attend Milwaukee Area Technical College to fulfill his dream of becoming a music artist. Donovan had a natural ability to write lyrics.
Some of Donovan’s favorite pastimes were playing video games, making music, playing football and basketball. Donovan will be remembered for his sense of humor and making people laugh; he was a jokester! Donovan also loved spending time in Mississippi with his grandparents, especially fishing with his granddad.
Donovan was excited to become a father and loved his son dearly. He was looking forward to seeing his son take his first steps.
Donovan suddenly departed this earthly life on September 4, 2020. Donovan’s beautiful memories will be cherished by his devoted family: a son, Honest Apollo Tabbert; parents, Chaquila Peavy and Darnell Garth; one brother, Kelly Garth and one bonus brother, Rueben Rodriguez of Bedford, TX; two sisters, Brittany Garth and Erin Peavy-Smith; grandparents, Cora and Cleveland Peavy of Forest, MS and Deborah and Bruce Schultz; one niece, Kiara Garth; one aunt, Darnetta (Travis) Watson-Williams and a bonus aunt, Keyona Vines; four uncles, Torrence (LaTunya) Peavy, Ernie (Angie) Peavy of Irving, TX, Darrell Garth and Tramell (Felicia) Watson; godmother Shawna Peavy-Thomas, all of Milwaukee, WI, and a host of cousins and friends.
Donovan’s mother often reminded Donovan of God’s love for him by reciting John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 13, 2020, from 1:00 PM – 4 PM.
In Mississippi visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM, family hour 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at W.F. Mapp Funeral Home, 1050 E. Fifth St, Forest, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Agape Faith Full Gospel Christian Fellowship Church, 5972 Hwy 35 North, Forest, MS.
