Dorothy R. Tubesing
Passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, age 98. Dorothy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Fred and Florence Rust on July 14, 1923. She graduated from Juneau High School in 1941. She served as Honored Queen of Job’s Daughter’s, Bethel #19. She attended the University of Wisconsin. She married the love of her life, Bob Tubesing on Friday, June 20th 1947. Uniquely, both of their parents were married on that day and they decided this was a good omen and carried it out a second generation.
She enjoyed and used her background in Home Economics as a “domestic engineer,” a career her children felt she excelled at. As her children were growing up, she was a 4-H leader and both a “Jobie” and “DeMolay” mom.
She was active in the West Allis Chapter of O.E.S. serving as its Worthy Matron. She also was a Grand Chaplain of Wisconsin.
She was always ready with packed suitcases as she and her husband took many journeys.
She was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church of Brookfield.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Karen (Peter) Wood, and Donna Helm (Joe); one son, Richard (Carole) and their three children, Laura (Chris), John (Sammey), and David. Son-in-law, Roman and 3 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Florence Rust; loving husband of 66 years, Bob; her daughter, Jeanne Klatt Stilp; her brothers, Everett and Donald; and her sister, Judith; her-in-laws, William and Bertha Tubesing, and her son-in-law, Daniel Klatt.
