Dr. Henry Helenek

Passed away on March 7, 2021. Age 80.

Beloved father of Katherine Helenek. Proud uncle of Andrew Helenek and Stefanie Helenek. Special brother-in-law of Camille Helenek.

Preceded in death by his wife Jo Anne of 48 years, and brothers Joseph and Steven.

Henry met his wife Jo Anne in Peoria, Illinois.

A Brown University graduate, Henry taught at Bradley University as a geology and chemistry professor. Henry mapped out geological areas for the state of New York and loved working in the mountains. He and his wife Jo Anne enjoyed the symphony and theatre together in Peoria, Illinois. He was a world traveler, avid reader, and history enthusiast.  The two years Henry lived in Milwaukee, he loved the city’s German food and all of the summer festivals.

Henry will be missed by all who knew him.
