Duane Donald Durni passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2022, after enduring Alzheimer’s for many years. Even though he had a terrible disease, he continued to be very kindhearted, happy, and humorous until his final days. Duane is survived by his beautiful and loyal wife Jelly. Duane had all boys: Duane Jr. (Chong), Steve (Dee), Chris (Kelley), John and Gene (Sara). He will be missed by his wonderful grandchildren, David, Jeff, Heather, Marissa, Ky-Le, Aaron, Brady, Devin, Cal, Ryan, Ezra, and Evan. Duane was preceded in death by his Father Merideth and Mother Kathryn (Brown) as well as his brother Dennis and sister Gloria.
Duane was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ, where he was a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. He served in the United States Marine Corps as an airplane mechanic. Duane was a great fisherman, and he knew all the best spots on Weyauwega Lake and on the South Branch of the Wolf River.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM with service to follow at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin.
