Passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, age 98. Cherished Husband of Evelyn (nee Buelow) for 71 years. Dear Father of Ed Jr., and Bruce (Lori) Braun. Loving Grandpa of Charity (Steve) Devroy, Brittany (Dean) Klug, Camryn, Andy (Rachel) Braun, Katie (Cameron) Ausen, Rachel and Jacob Braun. Great Grandpa of Jeremiah Devroy, Eve and Ruth Klug and Gloria Braun. Further survived by Brother Elmer (Joan) and Erna (the late Don) Roenspies. Brother-in- law of Harold (Marge) Buelow. Also loved by many family members and friends.

Ed was a US Marine veteran from WWII and a former Milwaukee Police Detective for 29 years. He also worked at Falk Co. and Foley & Lardner Law Office for many years. Ed enjoyed time with his family and riding his bicycle on trails near his home until the age of 97. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church and served in many areas.

Visitation will be held at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8444 W. Melvina Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Monday, November 5, 2018, 10:00 AM – 12:oo Noon. Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be held privately with Military Honors.

A special thanks to everyone at Congregational Home and the staff of Allay Care. To those who visited he would say, “It makes my day!”
