Edna Shauger

(Nee Hinrichs ) Age 98, passed away with family by her side in Ronda, NC, on August 18, 2016. She was born June 15, 1918 in Milwaukee to the late John and Amanda (nee Stoecker) Hinrichs and was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, G. Arthur Shauger.

She was confirmed and married at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church of Milwaukee, WI. She and Art became members at Garfield Avenue Baptist Church. She remained a faithful an active member until her move to Canton, GA. Loving the Lord and serving Him was important to Edna and for sixty years, she was involved with Gideons International in Milwaukee and Canton. Edna and Art owned a print shop, Milwaukee Gospel Press, for many years in Milwaukee.

She was loving towards her four children, Ann (Walter) Vaughan of Grafton, WI; Sharon (Jerry) Sanders of Ronda, NC; John (Kathy) Shauger GA; and Diana Shauger of South Milwaukee, WI. Edna is survived by her two sisters, Lorraine Figge and Alida (Henry) Siggelkow; sister-in-law Dorothy Hinrichs; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and friends. She was predeceased by siblings Leona (Harvey) Stalker, Stella (Norman) Ratzow, and Arno Hinrichs; and brother-in-law Earl Figge.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Friday, August 26, from 3:00 PM – 4:45 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM. Private burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International.
