This was a well liked person by me. I liked him for who he was, to me he was real. I worked as Summerfest with Ed . my heart goes out to the Bauman family.

Pete and family, I’m out of town right but want to express my sadness with the passing of Eddie. So many memories from high school and after high. Eddie was one of kind in so many ways and left his mark on everyone he met. He will always be in my memories. Mike

Ed was so many things to so many different people. We only met him a few times but our daughter, Becky, loved him, so we loved him. Our prayers go out to all of the family as you’re dealing with this loss. It will be difficult for each son in different ways and for that, I’m sorry that you don’t live closer to each other. Spend the time on the phone, it’s worth it. God bless all of you, you’re in my prayers. Becky’s Mom, Julie
Ryan Brady left a message on September 17, 2021:
I played football for Coach Baumann at CMH from 1994 - 1997. We learned so many things from him during our time there, and the most important things had little to do with football. Grit, determination, and hard work were at the core of his coaching philosophy. He shaped us into a group of fine young men. His passion for coaching made everyday on the field with him a true joy. Remembering back to those times brought a huge smile to my face. The stories he would tell us at practice were always lively and captivating. Winning the WISAA State Championship in 1996 was definitely a highlight of my time with "Coach B". Rest in peace old friend. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Your spirt will live on in all us and your lessons taught will be shared with generations to come. -Ryan Brady
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

"Coach Bauman" during our CMH years but "Eddie" after we graduated. A tough coach who nobody wanted to let down but always made it fun and kept it light just when you needed it. Always enjoyed bumping into Ed later in life and great to see that he made a difference to so many of his players and everyday people in his field of law enforcement. His family must be very proud. RIP Coach Ed!
Insp Gary Paluszcyk /ret/Waukesha County Sheriffs Department left a message on September 16, 2021:
I first met Chief Baumann when he began his law enforcement career in the Village of Pewaukee. They did not offer a lot of guidance back then so I tried to spend time and offer support when needed. Even then I recognized that he was a man of high character and integrity. The Chief was a example to all around him from police,to kids he coached to his peers in whatever he was doing. He will be missed by many. RIP Chief!
