Born and raised in Elk Creek, Nebraska lived an independent life that could only be called full and complete. Born in 1940, Eldon grew to manhood in a rural farm community before entering the private workforce. Many enriching experiences shaped Eldon into the wonderful father he became. Working for the railroad and also serving our country in the U.S. Army gave him an appreciation and love for travel and learning. In 1979 Eldon moved his family to Waukesha, Wisconsin, put himself through school and began a successful career in the growing world of computers. He made his home in Wisconsin and enjoyed the seasons and all they had to offer. He has passed on now and is survived by his two children, Kristin Kruska and David Knippelmeyer. Both of Eldon's children and their mother, Marlene Zabel, are just a few who feel the loss of a very decent man. Kristin's children, Brett and Elise, as well as David's children, Abigail and Kaitlyn, were very fond of their Grandpa and always looked forward to visits.Eldon was from a large family and is also survived by five brothers, Marvin, Richard, Wayne, Ervin and Owen and two sisters, Elaine and Joyce. Thirteen nephews and nieces and their spouses and children grieve, as well. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Gladys and beloved brothers Harlan and Ronald. Eldon L. Knippelmeyer was a good and caring man who quietly gave to various charities and taught his children the value of that. He was well loved and will be missed by many friends and family.Visitation at Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center, 12875 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI, Thursday August 18, 10:00-11:45AM.
