Nee Fina. Passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 surrounded by her family. Born on May 8, 1924, joined her parents; Andrew and Cecelia (nee Sternig) Fina and her dear brother; Pvt. William P. Fina. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Frank Semrad. Betty is survived by her 4 children; Patricia (Dan) Johansen, Joan (Dr. Robert) Blackman, Dr. Carol Elizabeth Semrad and William (Judith) Semrad. Grandmother of 8 grandchildren; Craig (Viktoriya), Kim (Brian), Kerry (Niki), Tessa (David), Andrew, Samuel (fiancé Taylor), Peter (Bethany) and Theodore. Great grandmother of 7; Kate, Brooke, Elena, Braden, Adriana, Joseph and Beau. Betty is also survived by her sisters-in-law; Mary Ann Schaefer (nee Semrad), Betty McDermott (nee Semrad), cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Betty was a proud graduate of Girls Tech High School class of 1942. She regularly attended her twice a year reunions. The most recent being her 79th in 2021. Following high school, Betty worked as a secretary for Allis-Chalmers.
Betty was an enthusiastic traveler on road trips throughout America. Her lifelong joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devoted daughter and cared deeply for her parents. She loved family parties and embraced everyone with an open heart.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, Thursday, August 18th from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM with Vigil service at 7:00 PM. Mass on Friday, August 19th at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti – East site, 5424 West Bluemound Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
