I was saddened to hear of Emil's passing. Very nice service today. I remember Emil as always happy, always busy, always caring and sharing. And, an excellent wood carver - I have two of his pieces, one he gave to me and one he gave to Margaret in Las Vegas. You are lucky to have such a wonderful person in your family. This cannot be easy during the current global state of affairs, but I hope Emil was happy and pain-free at the end. Stay strong in this difficult time, Joe Sabol

Sharon and family -- I have so many wonderful memories of Emil. I spend A LOT of time in the Sabol's house (especially the kitchen) during junior high and high school and Emil always had a funny quip or joke for me ("Hey Jane, where's Tarzan?") and Sharon's other friends. Emil drove of us everywhere, even to a haunted house in downtown Milwaukee with lots of girls in the car (10? 11? 12?). He was such a wonderful husband to Betty and an amazing Dad to Deb and Sharon. He will be so missed. My deepest sympathy. Love, Jane

So many wonderful memories of time spent in the shop and backstage with Emil and Betty. How much they added to our lives, and the productions of Theatre for Young Audiences. There was never a task too small for Emil to tackle with enthusiasm--and I don't remember ever seeing anything he hadn't finished. Like you, Deb, he knew how to be there when most needed and pitch in for all the "last minute" details that make a production possible. What a lovely service, and your eulogy was everything we knew it would be. Love to you all-Bruce and Nan
