Emily “Lee” M. Schmeling

Peacefully called home to her Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017.  Age 98.  Loving Mother of Terry Ralph Schultz and Susan (Richard) Obenberger.  Devoted Grandma of Laura Barry, Catherine (Tom) Knight, Beth Hoppe and Sara (Chris) Ward.  Cherished Great-Grandma of John, Jeni, Taylor, Tamra, Andrew, Kiran, Hayden, Hyatt, Destiny and Danny.  Special Great-Great Grandma of Aiden and Sophia.  Dear friend of Suzanne Schultz.  Lee will be missed by other family and friends.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM.  Funeral at 12:00 PM.  Private interment at Graceland Cemetery.

Emily was born in Chicago but moved to and grew up in Milwaukee, WI.  Emily adored classical music; reveled in reading books; loved animals; studied history and maintained a curiosity about life that could not be quenched.  When Emily retired, she volunteered her time with many organizations such as being a docent at the Jeremiah Curtin House and the Pabst Mansion.  She also spent a lot of time helping at the Greendale Library.  Emily cherished and loved her family so much.  She was the matriarch of her family from her two children to the many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.  Emily’s strong faith gives her family peace knowing she has eternal life in the loving arms of Jesus.
