Eric Edwin Filter, loving husband and father of three, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at the age of 55.
Eric was born in Milwaukee, January 8, 1966, to Edwin and Alverna (nee Woelbing) Filter. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda (nee Jahimiak) Filter. Loving father of Brandon, Casey (Anna Filter), and Alex (Arica Drezdzon). Proud grandpa of Raul, Amelia, and Daniel. Also survived by his sister Debra Rauth and brother Mark Filter, along with many other close friends and family members. Forever loved by his loyal companions, Nash, Milo, and Koda.
Eric spent over 25 years in the Aerospace & Defense industry serving the world in various senior sales & administrative positions. After many years of hard work and traveling the world, he gained a multitude of close friendships and business relationships that will survive him in death.
On February 17, 1990, he married Brenda Karen Jahimiak at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mequon, WI. They continued their lives together raising three young boys into adulthood.
Throughout his life, Eric loved to get outside and see what experiences the outdoors had to offer. In the summer, he spent a lot of time boating and fishing, while in the winter months, he spent most weekends snowmobiling on the Wisconsin trails. In his free time, he was working on obtaining his pilot’s license where he would spend many weekends flying his airplane across the Midwest. Eric also had a huge passion for cooking and was always trying new recipes and cooking methods.
Private family services are being held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
