Evelyn Mae von Rohr

"Sis" Died peacefully February 4, 2010, age 93. She was the beloved wife of Edmund Jeane. Beloved dear mother of Jean Ann, William (Nancy) and Connie (John) McGinty. Loving grandmother of Shannon, Erin and Caitlin, and great-grandmother of Kayla, Lydia and John. Before marrying, Sis was a beautician and owner of the Modern Beauty Shop, in Zanesville, Ohio. She was an active member of the Suburban Woman's Club of Wauwatosa and Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, and she and her husband Jeane were members of the Wauwatosa Village Playhouse and formal dance clubs, including Gambados and Nocturne. She was an avid sports fan, especially baseball, loved music and singing in several choral groups, loved to entertain with creative party themes and enjoyed crafts. Her family was very important to her and she was one of the founders of the Wietelmann Family reunions that have continued for over 50 years. Our sincere thanks to the Wheaton Franciscan Hospice, nurse Pam and others for angelic help given to our mother and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, the Suburban Woman's Club of Wauwatosa or Make-A-Wish Foundation. Visitation will be held in the chapel at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, 8424 W. Center St., Milwaukee, on Friday, February 12, from 12-2 PM. A memorial service will begin at 2 PM.
