(Schneider) Passed away peacefully at Alexian Village of Milwaukee on Tuesday, January 2, 2010, at the age of 93. She was a long time resident of Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. She graduated from Shorewood High School in 1934 and attended Milwaukee Downer College. She was a teacher for many years at the Whitefish Bay-Shorewood Preschool.She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip G. Houser, Jr., who she was married to for 56 years; by her son, Thomas G. Houser, and her sister, Betty Jane O'Leary Trowbridge. She is survived by one son, Michael Adam Houser and his wife, Barbara Leukuma, of Camarillo, California; three grandchildren Debbie (Brian) Haught, Andrea Houser and Aimee (Scott Krajewski) Houser, two step-grandchildren Christopher and Alanna Leukuma and one great-grandchild, Chance; Georgia's extended family of Diane, Lisa, Dan, Jon, and Kristin Bergschneider, and other friends and family.She was a long time member of Bay Shore Lutheran Church and did extensive volunteer work with the Scouts and Interfaith groups. She also participated in many volunteer projects while a resident at Alexian Village.A memorial service for Georgia will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, at Alexian Village of Milwaukee, 9301 North 76th Street. The Rev. Paul Overvold, Pastor of Bay Shore Lutheran Church of Whitefish Bay will officiate. A private interment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park prior to the memorial service.The family requests that memorials in Georgia's name be given to either the Employee Appreciation Fund at Alexian Village or Bay Shore Lutheran Church, 1200 E. Hampton Rd., Whitefish Bay.
