David Falk left a message on December 5, 2017:
Fannie was a hostess when I was busboy at the Linden Room at Marshall Field's in the early 80's. In the few years I worked with her, I cannot recall a single moment Fannie was angry or unpleasant. She shared her smile with friend and foe alike. When she laughed, it wasn't boisterous or artificial. Her laugh was ladylike, warm and infectious. I can only hope that in her next life, Fannie chooses a career in politics. She gather everyone around the kitchen table, serve some coffee and treats, and negotiate peace in the Middle East in less than 30 minutes. On my last shift as busboy, i and two other busboys that were heading to college serenaded Fannie with a rousing rendition of "We love you Fannie, oh yes we do. We love you Fannie, are hearts are true". Godspeed Fannie, you will be missed.
Patricia DeBlaey left a message on December 3, 2017:

Fanny was an influence on me when she had me do light work at the restaurant when I was 7-8. It was her flaire that sent me on a 30+ year culinary career! She will be missed ❤️❤️
