Fred H. Shreffler passed away peacefully and in comfort during the early morning hours of Sunday December 5th, 2021 at the age of 73. He is preceded into eternal peace by Maria R. Emanuele, his partner and best friend for over 35 years.
Fred was a kind, caring, and compassionate thinker who will be missed by his children Zoe (Eric) Shreffler, Casey (Kelly) Shreffler, and Nicholas Emanuele. Proud grandfather to Margo. Brother to Sue Shreffler, Ellen (Ken) Ostrand, and the late Ed (Estelle) Shreffler. Further survived by his first wife Monica Walsh, and Maria’s family Carlo and Flo, Rosie and Dave, Theresa and Hal, Salvatore and Gail, and many other friends and family.
As a solitary and quiet man, Fred has asked those who know and miss him to celebrate his life in their own personal ways. He was, privately, a generous donor to many charities including The Wounded Warrior Project, American Cancer Society, Doctors Without Borders, The VFW, The Salvation Army, American Heart Association, 88nine, and The American Red Cross. It would be a great honor to his legacy for any memorial gifts to be made to these organizations.
