A jolly good fellow, which no one can deny. At peace, Friday, June 18, 2010. Age 87. Husband of Johanna for 66 years. Father of Thomas (Lynn), Marsha (Dr. James Novotny) Schmidt and Pat Schmidt. Grandpa of Megan and Benjamin; Rebecca, Nadia and Nik. Great-grandpa of Amara. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded death by parents Erwin and Anna, sisters; Dorothy, Betty and Ruthie. Frederick was a member of Westmoor Country Club, then becoming a member of Blue Mound Country Club in 1970. Where he had two hole in ones. First of which occurred with Father Rainer. After the second he wrote a note to Father Rainer saying he had another hole in one, this one though was without spiritual guidance. The fun he had at Blue Mound Country Club was signing the tab with unusual names, such as; Terry Cloth, Rose Budd, Tim Burr, Douglas Fir, Olive Pitt and at least 40 more. The office girl always knew that is was him to send the bill to. In retirement Frederick joined the Zellwood Country Club in Florida. There he became Club Champion twice and shot his age. Frederick and Johanna lived off of the 16th tee where on hot days he served lemonade and cookies to the ladies and on cold days he served them hot chocolate. Also in retirement he sang in two choirs and played in the bell choir at church. Gathering at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK, Family Center " West Chapel, 12875 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Friday, June 25 from 1 PM " 2PM. Memorial Service at 2 PM. Private committal to follow. The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice for their great care and compassion during a difficult time."He will be remembered for his generosity and charisma."
