Hello Dar and family. I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to send this. There really is no good excuse. I’ve been traveling and am just now catching up on important things. I was saddened to hear of Gary’s passing on Oct 25. There are no words that can take away the sorrow of losing such a wonderful person. I’m so thankful we had the chance to see him and Dar the last two summers at Vernas party and again in Cody WY. I have wonderful recent memories of those conversations. The one thing I remember about him, even growing up, is his amazing smile that he offered so freely to anyone. He will be dearly missed. There will be a true void at our family gatherings. I pray for peace and comfort for all of you in the upcoming days, months, and years.

Darlene, so sorry to hear of your loss. My husband passed away unexpectedly 2 years now. It doesn’t get better it gets different. A friend told me don’t try to start a new life, just make a new rhythm. My husband was also a navy Vet. Don’t be afraid to cry or mourn, it helps relieve all that pin. My prayers and thoughts go out to you. Hang in there, God will take that pain away.

My sincere condolences Darlene to you and your family for the loss of your husband Gary. My wife Connie and I send sincere thoughts and prayers! Gary and I worked closely together at the Tanner-Paull Post 120 Legion Post for a number of years. Him as the Finance Officer and me serving as Post Commander and the Adjutant. Membership was very important to both of us. I always admired is volunteerism at the VA and our Post activities and at the Jansen Fest on Memorial Day week-end to earn money for the Post. Will always be grateful for your time and talent, and the fact you put up with this Retired "Old Marine"! RIP
