Entered God’s loving arms on March 22, 2017, at the age of 93. Loving husband of the late Lucile (nee Feebeck). Treasured father of Janice (Don) Shane, Gerry (Holly) Adams, and Jody (Tim) Weiss. Proud Papa of Kerry (Ryan) Hughes, Colin (special friend Hope) Shane, Carley Adams, Kalyn Adams, and Claire Freckmann; and great-grandchildren Archie, Theodore, and Eloise Hughes. Predeceased by his siblings Bill, Rodney, and Emily; and his son-in-law Scott Freckmann. He will be missed by his special friend Ginny, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
George was born in Chicago, IL. He attended Glenview School for Boys and graduated from Fullerton High School. George served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a member of the 464th Bomber Squadron.
After the war he married Lucile and started his sales career. George was the owner of G.R. Adams and Associates as an Electrical Manufacturers’ Representative. George never really retired. He was always interested in the day-to-day business and the treasured friendships he made throughout his life.
His passion and hobbies were golf, all WI Team Sports, and of course General Hospital. He paid particular attention to Falls Girls Fastpitch — “Go Falls!” He was a loyal supporter of his children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s sporting activities.
Remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, George was always involved in some type of music from playing the coronet, his harmonica, singing in the church choir or with anyone who wanted to harmonize. His tenor voice is now part of the Angels’ choir.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Eric Weber and Sandy, and the caregivers at Brookfield Regency and Angels Grace Hospice for their loving care.
Memorial Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM. Memorial Service at 6:30 PM.
