Entered Heaven on Sunday, July 18, 2021, age 81. Loving husband of Linda for 26 years. Proud father of MaryBeth (Jeff) Johnson, Julie Brown, and Krisy (Curt) Wrobel. Step-father of Courtney (Dave) Koebel. Bopo “grandpa” of Brian Johnson (Jenny), Stephen (Heather) Johnson, Nikalos Brown, Katie (Brady) Oates, Samantha Brown (Jayce), and Cal Wrobel (Sarah). Great Bopo of Brad and Scott Johnson, Jenson and Graham Johnson. Brother of Sharon (Ronald) Reszka and the late Robert D. Riley. Preceded in death by his first wife, SallyAnn, and grandsons Erik and Kyle Brown. Further survived by other family members and friends.
Jerry went to night school for ten years to earn his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering while working full time. To earn extra money he also sold beer at County Stadium. Jerry worked at Allis Chalmers and GE Medical Systems. In 1985 he bought the Allstar company. He retired at 55 years old. He then purchased the Korten corporation and owned that business until 2012. Jerry finished his working career at Rosen Nissan and retired in December of 2019.
Jerry had a big heart and loved his family deeply. He was always there to help at a moments notice. Jerry always had a great story to tell. Those who knew him well, loved hearing all his stories. Jerry will remembered as a remarkable man, missed, but never forgotten.
Gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Sunday, July 25, 2021, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
